Autumn 1
Amazing Writing!
After looking at The Dragon Machine by Helen Ward, the children designed their own dragon machine and wrote some amazing instructions telling us how it worked. This is just a sample from all the classes. Well done all of you!

I spy...
Wow! What an eggciting day! The children received a mystery letter and ended up finding some mysterious eggs! They had some wonderful ideas about what might happen. We would love it if they could draw some pictures about what they think might be inside. Please send them into class or post them to us on Teams.
SCARF WORKSHOPS
Children in Ash, Oak and Elm had a lovely visit from Caroline this week. Caroline has visited the children before and carries out workshops linked to our PSHE curriculum. This time the focus was all about mental health and acceptance. The children enjoyed listening to stories and playing games. They were especially pleased when Harold made an appearance. A big thank you to Caroline for a great SCARF workshop.

Halloween
A big thank you to all the parents who contributed to our Halloween fundraiser today. The children looked amazing - if not a little scary!

Autumn 2
It's Pumpkin Time!
Over the course of the year, we will be looking at our long term scientific study. In this case children will be observing, predicting and asking question. We will be observing how our pumpkins will change and what will happen. Already the children have made some super observations and are very excited to see what might happen next!
Odd Socks for Anti-Bullying!
A big thank you to all who came with their odd socks today. A great effort from the whole of Year 3.

Walk to the Village
As part of their learning in Geography and History, our children took a walk into the village. They looked at the war memorial and could explain why this is such an important part of the village. The children looked at the different shops and decided that Stubbington had lots of great things in it. The children were also lucky enough to have a visit from Mary, a local resident who has lived in the village for many years. The children listened carefully and asked some great questions. Well done year 3 for showing that you could be ready, safe and respectful out of school.
